Author Talk: Rachel Sutton

February 28, 2019

6:00-7:30pm

In celebration of Freedom to Read Week, the Kamloops Library welcomes author Rachel Sutton. Join author Rachel Sutton for a reading and discussion of her new book, Avenida de los Maestros. Rachel's novel digs into the dark world of narcotrafficante activities in Mexico, showcasing the current state of affairs through the eyes of an American teacher and a young Mexican street child. Rachel will bring the story to life through her performance of folk songs, a reading, and a discussion of the intersection between politics and narcotics in today's world. During the publishing process, Rachel experienced pushback from a number of publishers due to the content in her book. This event is free but registration is required. Please contact the library to register.
