Poetry Through Subtraction: Creating Art Through Censorship

February 26 to March 4, 2017

Poetry Through Subtraction: Creating Art Through Censorship The basics of poetry through subtraction are to take a print source and black out the words you don’t want. This leaves your poem behind. Poems will be on display at Horizon College during Freedom to Read week, February 26th-March 4th. On Saturday, March 4th, the poems will be shared at a coffee house. There will also be a writing workshop with a teacher/poet and a creative writing contest.
