York University Crossroads Literary & Reading Festival

Crossroads Reading Series is a must attend literary festival/reading series for anyone interested in Canadian Literature, the publishing industry and the direction of literature in the era of digital technology. See students, established authors and university professors read their work and share their experience in the creative writing industry. The reading will be taking place on January 27 2017 in Vanier College 001 at 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. There will be free food and a book sale the week of the event.

Our line up also includes York University professors Bruce W Powe and Patricia Keeney, independent publisher David Hull of Dumagrad, The Writer's Union of Canada's Mary W Walters, Word On The Street's Justin Lauzon, Wattpad's Nick Uskoski and Inspiritus Press'/pioneer of English cell phone novels, Steven Takatsu,

Crossroads is a long term series passionate about:

  • uniting the student writing community
  • cultivating dialogue between students, faculty, industry, technology
  • connecting students with mentors and opportunity
  • talking about the evolving landscape of the publishing and tech industry
